Amman, Jordan: Driven by its belief in its role in serving the local community and in establishing sound environmental practices, Bank ABC in Jordan continued its support to the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN), by providing financial support to the tree-planting “Green Caravan” program which aims to achieve food security and develop communities towards a sustainable economy that creates work opportunities for citizens, particularly small farmers who are key to strengthening Jordan’s food chain.
The environment sector is one of the key sectors supported by the Bank as part of its sustainability management program through its various programs and initiatives. This renewed support of APN aims to support Jordanian farmers and increase green space in Jordan by providing financial and moral support towards rehabilitating affected areas, carrying out and following up on forestation projects in order to help fight desertification and preserve plants.
In this context, the General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, Mr. George Farah Sofia, expressed his pleasure for the Bank’s continued support of APN to help them continue their work and achieve their objectives, on top of which is carrying out more projects, planting more trees of nutritional and economic value, in order to empower more Jordanian families and ensure a prosperous future for farmers.
